Antique Brass Leitz Wetzlar Monocular Microscope, Cased, #258795 c1927. The following is the specification, but I will let the pictures do the talking as to the condition.

Base and pillar are in a heavy casting with large spread, making the microscope stand firmly in the set vertical position, very minor chipping to the enamel. Limb is made in a solid casting, and is of an exceptionally robust construction and is shaped for conveniently lifting the instrument without risk of damage to the adjustable parts. Stage is of a larger size, measuring 4.5in x 4.50in. Stage clips for holding specimen in position are provided and also in excellent condition. Focussing adjustments, seperate course and fine rack and pinion, the fine adjustment is of a very strong and effective design. It is constructed in such a manner that a smooth working focussing adjustment giving no backlash is obtained. It is actuated by two milled heads, one on each side of the limb, thus being readily accessible to either hand.

The plano concave mirror is also in excellent condition. Triple nosepiece with three Lietz objectives fitted Eyepiece: No 4.

No 3, No 6 and a quality 1/12 oil immersion all by Leitz. The instrument is supplied in mahogany case, this is not original to the microscope, the carry handle is also present. This microscope appears to have been well looked after and stored in a nice dry area going by the condition. We strive very hard to offer a fast and efficient service at all times.
