Antique Boxwood Dring & Fage Custom And Excise Double Slide Rule C1845-9
This double slide rule was an excise officers rule. Made by Dring and Fage between 1845 and 1882 while the company were trading from 19 & 20 TOOLEY ST. Stamped to middle of face. COCK LONDON on the C1 slide. The rule is in excellent condition with no cracks or repairs. The boxwood has a good colour and even patina. The lettering is all clear and the brass marker pins appear to all be present and original. There is no Inland Revenue mark stamped. This mark was added in 1849.

Length of main body 31.7cm. Please inspect the photographs closely to assess the condition and any damage to the slide rule.
