Antique Army & Navy C S L survey level

Army & Navy CSL brass survey level in hardwood box. Similar level on p443 of A & N price book of 1883; style of name on side of telescope places instrument before 1934. Telescope is 15 long, lens are not cracked, finish has worn off brass where stored in wooden case in 2 areas. Timber box has split in lid, brass hinges and brass screws, no carrying strap and one lid securing clip is missing. Level is a four screw as opposed to the more usual 3 screw, with two liquid levels both sound with bubble, telescope sighting adjustment works by extending telescope length (see photos).
