The features that indicate this apparatus is so old is that it has been made for firewood use, it has the cover and screws completely made in bronze, it has three massive lions claws ornamentation (made in iron or bronze), numbered screws (usually used in devices from second half of XIX century) and a weight valve system usually used in early autoclaves (you only need to put a small cylinder and a weight to complete system - very easy to resolve - see last picture). Really historical device for a museum. Impressive and antique piece for demanding collectors.
