A COMPLETE SET OF DRAWING INSTRUMENTS by LEREBOURS & SECRETAN. Mahogany case 9 ½ x 6 ½ x 2 ¾ (24x17x7 cm) with trays lined with velvet and the lid with silk. Three compartments contain several drawing instruments, here comprised a 3-legged dividers, a proportional compass, a pied-du-roy, a protractor. This set belonged to Mine Engineer Felix Henrys, as stated on the silver plaque on lid. Some contemporary manuscripts (dated 1856) with geometrical problems are associated.

Scattered rust spots on steel. All major instruments are signed. Assuring the original content of this beautiful case. Inside the lid is printed on silk : Lerebours et Secretan, Opticiens de l Observatoire et de la Marine, Magasins Place du Pont Neuf 13, Atelier Rue de lEst 23 Paris.
