This is an antique miniature tool / medical instrument case made from green shagreen. It has un marked silver mounts on the edges and there is a cartouche engraved with the name Dr Storry on the lid. The inside has 6 small rectangular shaped slots to take THUMB LANCETS.. 9.9mm long x 3.3mm wide.
The push button clasp is very good and so is the hinge. No maker's marks etc. In collectable condition with normal signs of age and use wear. There are some small cracks through the shagreen, mostly on the edges. Clasp and hinge are in nice condition.

It is 2 and half inch tall x 1 and half inch wide at the bottom x 1 and 3/4 inch wide at the top x just over half inch deep at the top widest point.
