Vintage 1930s Art Deco Desk Barometer / Calendar set. Black / Chrome Desk set
As long as Post Office remains open I should be able to post items still. I will update if any further developments. UPDATE - I have found a set of calendar cards that fit in this but not greatest order.
A couple of the Month ones have damage and the print has smudged. Vintage 1930s Art Deco Desk Barometer / Thermometer / Calendar set. The Calendar to right side is missing - it has been replaced with period Actress photo card.Not mint but visually good used order. Has some wear / dulling to Chrome parts. At first glance the black metal looks in VGC but when you look in the light the surface marks and chips have been filled / overpainted - lot of small spots - not obvious unless you start looking. The Thermometer and Barometer are unchecked - appears to be an adjustment nut to spindle at base (I used to get photos of the Weather sheet on weather). The thermometer pointing at 60 deg.
The Weather is on Sun now - I will have to see if it moves. UPDATE - over the last week the picture barometer has moved - the centre line was just off centre of the Sun - sun moved all the way left and has now move the opposite way right towards the clouds. Now back to mid-Sun and 60 deg. The Temperature dial on upper has also made some minor movement from mid 50 to 60 and back. STILL NOT NO GUARANTEE OF WORKING / ACCURATE BUT SHOWING SIGNS OF MOVEMENT.Really stylish Art Deco Desk set. Items paid for via Bank will now be posted until funds cleared my end (taking 3 days at present).
