Very Rare Antique Zinc & Copper Mechanical Water Wheel Toy / School Model 1800s

This extremely rare antique zinc and copper water wheel toy / classroom model is pretty good sized, about 15" long x 10" tall and it weighs about 5 pounds. The revolving 17 bladed copper wheel is about 6" in diameter and it looks like the (7" diameter) zinc water reservoir holds about 1/2 gallon of water. The 5 3/4 diameter round base is made of zinc and it is weighted with something(like sand)inside. When you pull the wire loop the water runs out of the bottom of the tank and down the zinc sluice and spins the undershot copper wheel as long as the water keeps coming!

The elegant, hand-made mechanical device is very sturdy and pleasingly formed with beautiful old red, green, and gold paint. There is some paint loss and a patina of age but over all the spectacular toy is in very good + original condition and it still works.
