This is an extremely rare Jules Richard chronograph recorder model. The first chronograph recorder made by Jules Richard and probably the first chronograph ever made that receive and electro pulse to register periods of time. You can find Jules Richard pneumatic models with lower serial numbers, but they have no electric parts. You can also find Jules Richard hybrid models with higher serial numbers, but not like this one (first model). These electro pulse models have a lower base than this one.
This very unusual advice has a mechanical clock movement, but a register system that use electro pulse to record any event. This is an historical instrument that shows how the human being has tried to use electricity to make a chronograph w orks. All experts I reveal this piece agree it is the oldest hybrid chronograph (electric & mechanical) they have seen (Circa: 1890). An extremely rare electro mechanical chronograph register for a museum now available for high collectors. This is a pre owned & antique chronograph recorder.Made in France by Jules Richard. First hybrid model made by Jules Richard (and probably the first electro mechanical chronograph recorder even made). Retailed by Otto Hess & Cia. O riginal condition (no restoration - see detailed pictures). Case measures: 22.5 centimeters (wide) X 26.5 centimeters (high) X 13.5 centimeters (depth).
