A good example of a 19th century brass day/night telescope, with extra solar lens (Photo 6) on its origin tripod stand. The end plate is marked Williams Bute docks Cardiff. In working order the focus adjuster works fine no problems or slipping, the lenses look ok and image clear.The tripod base is brass on cast Iron cabriole folding legs. Length of barrel 37.5 inches -95cm adjusting to around 57 inches at max draw, with its standard lens.
Diameter of end lens approx. In good uncleaned for years condition with a small uneven dint to barrel around the mid top above tripod Photo 9.
