Johan Bock , also written as Johann, Bok or Bork, listed in Frankfurt around 1633, he died 15. 1661, he was a German watchmaker, there are some pendant watches in several museums and collections, e. A single hand rock-crystal pendant watch in the Mathematical Physical Salon in Dresden and an oval astronomical pendant watch in the Metropolitan Museum of Art (Met) in New York. 67 x 38 mm length without pendant and nipple, 54mm, with pendant and nipple 72 mm, width 47 mm.

The watch is in excellent condition according to its age, or simply "museum quality". There are a few little things to mention. Movement: is ready for use, the alarm clock works (there is no guarantee for accuracy), and the mainspring barrel for the alarm has been re-pierced and re-engraved. The fusee was modified so that it could hold a chain, this was rebuilt so it now again with a gut line - therefore no guilding on the snail.

Dial: Small marks and scratches on the dial, but the overall decorative image is clearly visible. Auxiliary dials, as expected with marks, scratches and wear. The hand for the month has been replaced. Case: with slight wear, the bezel with some wear on the gilding, the thread for fixing the bottom bell with traces of repair, visible on the back cover.
