Fully Functional Antique Trippensee Planetarium Orrery w Brass Sun in Original Box. Great condition and well preserved.

Fully functional, with all celestial bodies (Sun, Earth, Moon, Venus) orbiting and rotating properly on their axis with the counter clockwise rotation of the long wooden arm around the base of the planetarium. Entire planetarium has not been cleaned or oiled and operation of model is a bit stiff when rotating the arm more slowly.

Chain drives, cogs and all other metal mechanisms are clean, secure and fully functioning. Inconsistent wearing of black paint randomly about the wood body and arm. Some light streaks in the brass surface of the sun. Paints and materials of the Earth, Moon and Venus are still very good.

Original black box (included) is scuffed and missing it's handle, but remains structurally sound with a working metal clasp. SEE PICS FOR ALL DETAILS. Original Box Weight: 7 lbs.
