My dad has asked me to sell it. A rare item made between 1801 & 1830 in London Holborn by William Harris & sons. In very good vintage condition. The case is solid with good hinges & a nice clear label. There are a few cosmetic issues which I have photographed.
The handle is original & solid. The top of the microscope comes off to fit. The microscope is in excellent condition with all parts present.Im no expert but it all seems to work. Theres some age related tarnish to the brass & foxing to the mirror. The brass engraving of maker is nice, but would be clearer with cleaning which I have not done. The small drawer has a good selection of extra parts & slides which seem to be mainly fish pike etc. Please remember that this microscope is very rare & hard to locate.
The only way of sale is collection from me with permission to photograph you with it & your Id. Sorry to be so difficult but Ive lost out before.
