SEE VIDEO OF THIS APPARATUS HERE. Extremely rare and antique small wind up engine motor.
Superb & insurmountable quality (best wind up motor i have seen - it has more or less 40 screws). Made in France during the end on XIX century or beginning of XX century. Most probably made by Ducretet or Boulitte in Paris.
This movement can works for more than one hour and twenty minutes in low speed and for fifteen minutes in high speed. Incredible noiseless considering its age. Made in black painted bronze (original paint). Very low serial number & several numbered pieces with same number.
It has screw on top to adjust speed using centrifugal force of three round weights (screw can adjust distance between weights to control centrifugal force as a deceleration system). This screw as a knurled nut on back to fix speed.
Visible rotating weights on top to check speed. It has a switch to stop & start movement. Probably used for kymograph machine or other medical or scientific apparatus. All defects not mentioned but visible in the pictures will be considered as described.
