The microscope stands on a U shaped base with a single rectangular column supporting the main body of the microscope. At the base is a plano-concave mirror on a sliding collar.

At the base of the microscope is a plano-concave mirror on a swivel bracket. Trade label inside box dated 29th V?

36cm x 18.5cm x 18.5cm. A really good example and mechanically everything is tight and smooth as it would of been 100 years ago.

Some minor wear/scratches to the black coating on the brass base. The original lacquer is in very good condition. A few marks as would be expected for an instrument of this age. Optically everything works as expected.

The plano mirror is in very very good condition, no damage. The concave mirror has wear to the silvering on the edges only; approx 3-5mm all the way around the circumference. Serial numbers on the case, microscope and trade label all match.
