Super early 19th century draughtsmans drawing set by ISAAC TROW. With contents six brass instruments, rule, sector. A nearly complete faded black fishskin draughtsman's Etui. The wooden case covered in faded black fishskin..Slight damage to seam at bottom and one small hole on base. Patch on one side possible damp. Or could be wear from left hand while opening and closing the etui. Some minor cracks to instrument compartment but no missing bits. The bottom half of hinge has come out and has been reattached to outside of the fishskin.
It can be put right as the skin is underneath. Paper label to inside of lid reads Geo.
Brass and steel dip pen. Pair of fixed brass and steel dividers. Pair of brass dividers 5.1in.
One arm detachable to take other attachmentsnamely. There is also a brass cap that would have contained a pencil. The sellotape around the adjustable dividers is because the hole is worn and has become slightly oversized for the divider arm. The other attachments fit tightly. The ruler 11.7cm x 3.4cm.
It has wear to one end and a chip(old) about half way along face. The sector in good condition. No movement at hinge but cracks up to the innermost pins.Isaac Trow flourished 1830 to 1837.
