A 19th Century Vacuum Pump. This Pump is constructed from brass and Mahogany. The pump sits on a mahogany base with a bracket foot.

There is a double pump system. One that compresses air by moving the handle. With a valve in the brass pillars.

The other be moving the upright arm linked to a pump. This looks to move gases attached to the gas valve. The bell jar sits on a circular brass plate that sits on.

A mahogany stand with turned mahogany pillars. Ladd 11-12 Beak street Regent Street. Dating in this premises from 1860 1871. A William Ladd a Microscope and Philosophical Instrument Maker. The beautiful thing is the eye for detail.

As well as being a instrument it was also made to look decorative. This will make an amazing talking point in any house hoold. T his vacuum is in good condition with a lovely finish.
