A small brass compass, France, we can date around 1750, preserved in its original case in black leather lined with green velvet. Pretty compass rose engraved in the bottom with the cardinal points and the north marked by a fleur-de-lys. The needle is always magnetized and works perfectly. One of the hinges of the box is partially detached (see the last two photos) otherwise very good condition. Compass square size: 7×7; box size: 8×8 cm.
